About
About NMLB
No More Language Barriers was created to help non-native English speakers in Canada feel more confident using English in real life.
Our Story
Why NMLB was created
NMLB, No More Language Barriers, was created to help non-native English speakers in Canada build more confidence using English in real-life situations. Many learners have studied English before, but still feel blocked when they need to speak. NMLB was built to focus on the gap between knowing English and using English.
The school started with one question: why do so many people who understand English still struggle to use it? The answer is almost always the same. They have studied English, but they have not had enough structured opportunities to actually practice speaking it.
NMLB exists to close that gap through live speaking practice, real communication situations, supportive feedback, and consistent repetition.
Our Mission
NMLB exists to help non-native English speakers feel more confident using English in real life, not just studying it. Our mission is to make English speaking practice more practical, supportive, and connected to the situations students actually face in Canada.
We help students move from understanding English passively to using English more actively in conversations, interviews, work, and daily life.
Our Values
Practical communication
We focus on English students can use in real conversations, work, interviews, and everyday life.
Supportive learning
Students should feel safe making mistakes, asking questions, and improving through practice.
Clear structure
Every program follows a clear learning path so students understand what they are practicing and why.
Realistic progress
We do not promise instant fluency. We focus on steady, practical improvement through participation and repetition.
Teaching Philosophy
Our teaching philosophy
We believe speaking confidence comes from practice, structure, feedback, and repetition. That is why our programs focus on live speaking practice, real communication scenarios, simple speaking frameworks, and supportive correction.
We do not believe in passive instruction where students listen and take notes. We believe students improve by speaking, making mistakes, receiving feedback, and trying again in new situations.
Every session is designed around participation. Students are expected to speak, not just listen.
